The modernisation and complete redecoration of this two bedroom flat in South East London took place in late 2011. All skirting boards, architraves and beads were removed and replaced with waterproof MDF flat skirting & architrave. The door between the kitchen & living room was removed, the opening enlarged, lintels installed and space saving sliding doors fitted. In the living area a recess was created to receive a stone hearth inset & stone backing. Old timber boards, lino, underlay and carpets were removed and tongued & grooved wooden floors were laid to the bedrooms, bathroom & corridor. These were stained and then three coats of clear silk matt finish protection applied. The bathroom was completely stripped out, retiled and refitted to a new layout with sanitary & brassware supplied by the client. Fitted wardrobes were installed in main bedroom. Alterations were made to lighting as required by the client.
